A Better Finish than Last Year
August 14, 2008
The game ended with such a bad call, that the Go Getters should be ashamed to have won like that.
No, I'm not a sore loser, I am actually looking forward to watching the Olympics tonight and not having a game to play, but the last out at second was not an out and the game should have gone on. It felt like the umpire, who's usually pretty good, made that last call because he wanted to finish the game and go home. I guess he was looking forward to watching some Olympics too.
And what's with you Go Getters playing a guy who's on the Spicy Chalupas team? Are you even allowed to do that?
Congratulations Jugr'nuts, we played better than in the two previous seasons. It's just such a shame the last game of the season had to end in such a terrible call.
Jay, you've been a great team player this season, and you brought in the big hits and a lot of great moments. I know you're already very good, but you're getting better at playing with people who are not at your level, which, we all know, can be very frustrating.
Andrey, as much as we bug you, we really don't think you play like a girl. We really need your positive energy and interesting arguments at games. You make things fun.
Courtney, we couldn't have done it without you.
Dan and Peter, you're the best pitchers in the league. You don't walk players, you force them to hit. Well, most of the time. And I do believe Dan runs faster now too.
Danielle, we wish you speedy recovery. It was your first baseball season with us and unfortunately you didn't get to play much, but the few games you did play, you were fantastic.
Graham, you're our new ringer, especially after your performance in the first playoffs game.
Jana, Jacob was sad you didn't hug him when we ran into you at lunch. I got home last night and the first thing he asked was "why didn't Jana hug me at lunch?" You're the nicest, sweetest person ever and we're the luckiest team on earth to have you. Besides, your hits down the line are pretty darn cool too.
Scott, you're a solid player and probably the guy who's improved the most. You beat yourself up too much though. In reality you screw up less than the rest of us.
Grant, you're the cool guy. Your hits are solid and you're the only one who can match Jay's short stop moves.
Ivan, you're the best runner on the team, no contest, and you know you own the outfield. Thank god you're not moving to Montreal anymore.
Nina, the cutest one of all, who runs faster than a guy, except Ivan, I've seen you hit out of the infield this year! You've also brought the magic of 'pink' to the team too.
Earol, thank you. You've been a great help in the last three games and a fun distraction for the other team and us too. I hope your legs feel better. You're the most fun to watch at bat.

- To the Jugr'nuts. Here I see we had a terrific year and an amazing game last night. I want to commend our team for putting up with some shotty umpiring, even though I have respect for the particular umpire, there were some questionable calls. The ball did not bounce our way. It happens. Overall a great game by the Jugr'nuts and lets take this into our Fall Ball season.

- Call out to trolls. This is in response to some classless actions made by a classless team namely the Go-Getters. Once again this has been, no talent, slo pitch bitches have un done themselves. Especially with the trolling of a site and not even putting forth who they are. Here I am stating that there is not one player on that team that is comparable to us. The women on that team are just some inbred hoes from the valley and the guys are just talentless tee ballers compared to myself and really don't belong on the field with the jugr'nuts. Considering that they have been playing softball their whole lives and can only beat us by 1 RUN considering 14 out of the 16 players on our team have played only 2 years. I call out the Go Getters to man up and put your name when commenting so next time i play against you, you will find a ball going between your eyes and my spikes coming down hard when sliding. Be prepared next year. For if you want to play, we will play hard. And if you think you can compete with me and my Team the Jugr'nuts, you should be prepared to be shamed.

- Franci you were suppose to tell me when that game was so I could come cheer the team on! Sounds like a tough loss. And I know you all played with class!

- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwRzMb0sw7Q Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Go Jugr'nuts!!!

- The Go Getters and Spicy Chalupas are in different rec divisions -- so why can't a player be registered in two different levels and play? He played all year for both... Hopefully you'll stop whining by May for a rematch...
